About Us

Darren started trading as Excel Group in 2008 when he took over from John Gates of the original owner of Eurobytes. He has had an active interest in computers since first school.

Originally just working with computers, he started unlocking phones as well as computer repairs. After a few years, with a huge demand for mobile phone repairs in Purbeck he learnt the skill over the years to repair them. The first phone repairs were the iPhone 3G and 4 series of Apple Devices. Since then has learnt the skills of more modern phones and tablets.

The shop itself took temporary relocation and change of ownership after Darren changed his career path, however the business got handed back in 2018.

During the Coronavirus Pandemic between 2020 and 2022 Darren started doing the phone and tablet repairs helping those that needed their technology to work.

Even though regular work is back to normal, Darren is still helping people with their phones and tablets during his spare time from home. This means he is able to repair your devices outside conventional opening hours, sometimes late into the evening.

All repairs are done by appointment only where you will receive directions of getting here.
